Producing A Harvest of Righteousness

(Hebrews 12:10-11)

“They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness.11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

Have you ever heard maybe a parent , grandparent or friend tell you “ God loves you too much to leave you comfortable where you are. Besides being a “classic Christian saying “ How does that apply to us!? what does that really mean!? I have heard this saying in different variations over the years in my own personal life. To  me I believe it means God creator of the universe, king of all kings , ruler of all the heavens and the earth, Loves us enough to discipline our hearts in the direction he created us to be, more and more like Jesus. God is a loving God that wants to see us move mountains, stand up to the “ Goliaths” in our lives and overcome all odds of what may seem impossible to man but possible in the eyes of our father. He wants to not only discipline our hearts but our mind as well to think and act as children of God ,so that we may draw closer to his heart, and hear and see what  he is doing in our lives and the world around us or what he is preparing us for. No one wants to be corrected or told what to do, but when it comes from a place of love and the person sees and believes in our potential it produces good fruit in us and to those that receive from us! The same goes for God he sees our potential, the way he created us to be and lovingly pushes us into that direction.
