our mission & vision

We exist for the world to encounter God’s transforming presence, starting with our city, then our nation, and into the world!

Our vision is to see the city of Ottawa and the Nation of Canada impacted by God’s presence. We envision this happening by building a family-centred community that focuses on loving our city and raising leaders in every sphere of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • CTF Ottawa is part of the Catch the Fire network of churches that grew from Catch the Fire Toronto, where revival began in 1994. Fire is a metaphor for God’s presence. It is our desire that all who join us would experience God’s presence. We want to have the same Holy Spirit power that descended at Pentecost as tongues of fire. The revival was known as the Toronto Blessing, but also the Laughing Revival, as many meetings were marked by expressions of joy. We found out that God was much more joyful than we had previously thought. We trust that you find the Father who is so filled with joy and love for you. Our name is our mandate. We expect to meet with God and experience His presence in our lives and in our services.
